Video captures chaotic moment dog attacks 2 Chihuahuas in Murray Hill

JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – A scary dog attack filmed.
In a video shared with News4JAX, a young boy can be seen running for his life with his two small dogs beside him as a larger dog rushes into the frame and attacks the dogs.
“I first saw this dog sticking its head out the door and bringing it back inside. That’s when I knew the dog was going to come out the door again,” said the boy, Jamil George, at News4JAX.
The attack happened last week on Crescent Street in Murray Hill. Fortunately, the little boy, his mother and their two chihuahuas are doing well.
And no citations were given because the owners of the attacking dog and the victims agreed to personally handle the case to prevent future attacks.
In the surveillance video, Jamil George can be seen walking his two chihuahuas Lilly and Sammy in his front yard when suddenly he realizes that a large dog that belongs to his neighbor is about to escape from a yard. closed.

“The dog came out the door and by then I was already here. This dog rushed in here and skimmed it,” George said.
Jamil’s mother, Stacey, was inside the house when the attack began.
“I heard him scream and then I came to the door and saw the dog running into those bushes. He was attacking my little dog,” Stacey George said.
That’s when Stacey George came out and tried to help her son get Sammy’s biggest dog out.
Sammy then crossed the street to get away from the big dog who was right behind him. Then Lilly ran after the big dog who turned and attacked Lilly in the yard across the street. The owner of the big dog and the neighbor across the street helped Stacey remove the big dog from Lilly. Despite the severity of the attack in the video, the two chihuahuas, Jamil and his mother were not injured.
“I feel very blessed and lucky because I know it could have bitten me and I know it could have attacked her and been a hospital visit or worse,” Stacey George said.

Stacey said her two dogs and the next door neighbor’s dog used to get upset in the back yard where the dogs were able to partially touch each other under the fence. She said that’s why they started walking the dogs in the front yard.
The George family say the plan for the future is to renovate this fence so the dogs can’t attack each other.
“We’re just trying to find ways to resolve it peacefully and hopefully it won’t happen again,” Stacey George said.
News4JAX did some research and discovered that several neighbors had called animal control to complain about the two chihuahuas running around the block off leash. But in this case, both dogs were in their own front yard when the neighbor’s dog attacked.
The owner of the large dog declined to comment on camera, but said she was unaware of the video. She said she just wanted to move on from the incident.
