Two sedalians arrested in drug seizure in South Barrett
On Tuesday, June 15 at approximately 7:49 p.m., Pettis County MPs, the Mid-Missouri Anti-Drug Task Force, and the Morgan County SWAT Team served a search warrant on 1821 S. Barrett, distributing drugs from reference.
This is an ongoing investigation between law enforcement and Pettis County District Attorney Phillip Sawyer.
During warrant service, officers detained and arrested two people: James Johnson and Whitney Raymond. Seized during this mandate are the following:
1 kilogram of cocaine salt (powdered cocaine)
1/2 pound of methamphetamine
701 ecstasy tablets
35 pounds of marijuana
154 boxes of THC vape cartridges
15 large caliber rifles
1 stolen weapon
Approximately $ 61,000 in US dollars
This investigation targeted the distribution of dangerous drugs in Pettis County, in particular cocaine, ecstasy and methamphetamine.
Raymond has been arrested on outstanding arrest warrants while Johnson has been arrested on multiple charges, including first degree trafficking, which will likely end in a federal indictment.
