TALK ABOUT FAITH: Faith Wins Our Victory – The Cherokee One Feather

By REV. TIMOTHY L. MELTON, PASTEUR
CHURCH OF HOLINESS OF PENTECOST CHEROKEE
All scriptural references are taken from the Holy Bible in the King James Version,
Read Romans 8: 28-30
“All things, yes, everything has already been declared as a ‘victory’ for us, according to His Word. We just have to believe it, ”said Reverend Melton. “The ‘victorious battle of faith’ has already been won by placing our faith in him. He has said before, it is knowing that “his victory” has also been given to us who are his. ”
“Knowing that the enemy has already been defeated and that the outcome has been predetermined, we are victorious even before a battle of faith has been fought. This is already a sure thing. We must strive in faith “from” our victory, not “for” our victory.
The battle is to “believe” that the fight is over, before it has even started. It was, and still is, “a done deal.” Hold on, God has already won it. He said it. Believe Him and believe what He said, because we don’t “work.” We “work”, by our faith in him, because, with our faith “working”, by believing him, our faith “works” every time. The result has been predetermined. Alleluia! We can be okay with that!
Read Deuteronomy 20: 1a, 4
“In theory we know, but maybe in reality we’re not always quite sure,” said Rev. Melton. “If I keep my eyes on him, looking at him, I’ll always land on my feet.”
Read Romans 8: 26-27
“As we find in verse 26, if this weakness manifests itself, just reading verse 28 again may help. This brings up our “work of faith”, raising our level of faith in Him, realizing, once again, “it is” already a “deal made”. When the enemy presents itself, we must realize that the enemy already knows that he has been defeated and that he is still fighting. So should we. The enemy is always a liar. Box his ears with your words of faith in the Lord! It “strengthens” our faith in him as well. “Faith comes by hearing”… we are the winners! “ explained Pastor Melton.
Read Romans 8:37 (KJV)
“Everything will work together for good. “No in all these things”, be precise, “we are more than conquerors”, added Reverend Melton. “It happens to bring Glory so that it can be seen on my face. Glory, its very presence, can bring us godly jealousy, showing that “all things” are working. The glory is in the healing, not in the sickness. All in all, there is Glory in the life of a believer. Look at Job’s life.
“There were more issues for him than most of us could ever have handled. Virtually everything that could have happened has happened. All of his children, their homes, their servants, their livestock, were lost, even their crops. Then there were boils that roughly covered her skin, add a not very understanding woman and friends, who were more like enemies. Nothing made him sin against his God, for he still blessed and worshiped God. (Job 1: 20-22.). Job had Glory in his life even after losing everything.
“God changed Job’s life and gave him double for all his problems. God has our back. We win. He can bring powerful things into our lives. With the garment of praise, the spirit of heaviness comes out the door. All to his glory! We win! The end is already written! ”
“With clothes of praise, we can become His ‘trees of righteousness,’ so that He may be glorified. We are crossing because the battle has already been won by Him. The anointing came to His disciples as Jesus came to them walking on water. The five thousand were fed as Jesus prayed that “not enough food” would be blessed until it was multiplied in the hands of the disciples. This is who he is.
“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were cast into the fiery furnace, when they refused to worship the golden image. Daniel was left all night to survive in the lion’s den, for worshiping God. Jonah was swallowed whole by the whale and vomited on the shore near Nineveh just to preach the greatest revival given in the Old Testament. God ended your life in a book before you ever have! He did all the fighting that we will need.
Read Isaiah 58: 8-14
“The battle always belongs to the Lord. I’m a winner because when I call now the LORD answers. Light is shining, health is springing quickly, and the Glory of the Lord must be my return, ”added Pastor Melton.
