Milligan & Artecida’s DOGS OF LONDON Arrives May From AfterShock
AfterShock Comics announced London dogsa new supernatural detective series from the writer Pierre Milliganartist Artecidacolorist Valentina Bianconiand letter Rob Steen. The series follows a pair of aging members of the old London mob whose past literally comes back to haunt them. The first issue of the series features a main cover of Andy Clarke and Jose Villarrubiaand an incentive variant covered by david johnson.

Frank and Terry are about to find out. They were once members of The Dogs, a feared gang that ruled much of London‘underworld in the 60s. They thought they‘I escaped their troubled past, but the past doesn’t exist‘t dead – it’s just a little stoned and very edgy. Spanning different eras and classes, DOGS OF LONDON is a brutal and bloody tale of violence, love, revenge… and sleeping dogs who refuse to turn around and play dead.
London dogs is the latest AfterShock Comics series from writer Peter Milligan, whose previous titles for the publisher include out of body and god of tremors. It’s also Brazilian artist Artecida’s first major comic book work, and their first pairing with colorist Valentina Bianconi, who previously worked on seven swords for AfterShock.
In a statement announcing the new series, Milligan described how London dogs brings him somewhat full circle when it comes to his American comic book work:
“My first series in America was SKREEMER, a story that used a weird gangster tale to explore a kind of American experience – so I’m really excited to tell, now, a very different type of gangster story, which explores a very The British experience also features the universal themes of love, revenge, violence and fate. And dog bites. Sorry, did I say dog bites?”
