LIST: Local Halloween Events

SAVANNAH, Ga (WSAV) – Scary season is here! Take a look at this list of fall festivals, fundraising events and fundraisers happening throughout the month to celebrate Halloween.
Savannah
Ashley Midtown Apartments is hosting a Fall Community Festival and Movie Night at Benjamin Van Clark Park between Waldburg and Collins streets.
The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday, with the film kicking off on the big screen at dusk.
Several vendors will be present with raffle, food and music opportunities. The organizers suggest bringing lawn chairs or blankets.
Hardeeville
The Hardeeville sur Main festival is back with carnival rides, food, drink and live performances by the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, Pachanga and Deas-Guyz.
Friday is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Savannah
The Humane Society for Greater Savannah holds its Fall Fair on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 7215 Sallie Mood Drive.
Stop to enjoy local vendors and food trucks, meet adoptable animals, enter the costume contest, or visit the petting zoo. The musical talents of the acoustic duo Armadillo Bluff will be on site.
Parking will be located on the Jennifer Ross soccer fields behind the Humane Society.
Participants can participate in various costume contests for $ 5, which will go directly to the medical department. Candy buckets will be available for $ 10 and will allow access to the children’s area. The buckets can be purchased online.

Port Wentworth
On Friday, the town of Port Wentworth is hosting an outdoor movie night featuring âThe Addams Familyâ.
Organizers are asking the community to bring chairs, blankets and snacks to 317 Cantyre Street, near the Port Wentworth Fire Department and Police Department. Participants can also stay in their cars and listen to the film on their radio.
According to the city, the fall festival will not take place this season.

Savannah
The 16th annual Wag-O-Ween takes place Saturday and Sunday between the Starland District and the Savannah River.
Proceeds from the pet fundraiser will benefit local animal rescues, spay / neuter and community education efforts.
From noon to 5 p.m., humans and dogs are encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes and follow cards from local businesses that distribute dog treats and treats. Fundraising also includes a photo station with costume contests and raffles throughout the day.
Participants can register and donate in advance at wagoween.org. The $ 10 bracelet admits a pet for the entire weekend and includes a treat destination card and a dog loot bag.

Beaufort
The town of Beaufort is having a family Halloween party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Waterfront Park.
Activities include a dance party with DJ, crafts, costume parade, inflatable games and entertainment. Children can also go for treats at each sponsored table in the park.
Savannah
Plant Riverside District hosts LaFaye & The Fellas on Saturday night. The rock-soul group will give a free live concert at the Pavilion Tent from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Cirque Divina will present a free Halloween Spectacular circus show along the Savannah River at 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Statesboro
The Statesboro Family YMCA hosts its 2nd Annual Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat on Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Face masks are encouraged and costumes are optional. The YMCA will be hosting a costume contest on Facebook.
