Kelowna raises over $ 6,000 for Mexican street dogs – Vernon Morning Star
Last month, more than 100 people and nearly 90 dogs enrolled at the Dogzies Canine School of Excellence in Kelowna braved the rain to raise funds for the fourth annual Santa Paws Walk.
Dogs and their owners were to reserve a time slot for their photos, with cash donations going to support the Taco Dog Rescue Society, an organization that rescues abandoned street dogs in Mexico from homes across the province.
Now the results of this fundraiser have arrived, $ 6,440.25 has been raised for the Taco Dog Rescue Society.
Majic Greenwood and his friend started the Santa Paws event in 2017 and have had four successful fundraisers since raising over $ 14,000 to animal rescue agencies.
âDogzies has supported us tremendously since its inception and we are eternally grateful for their support,â said Greenwood.
