Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest October 30 at Oak Ridge PetSmart

Dress your puppy in his best costume for the inaugural Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Competition presented by the Anderson County Animal Shelter and the County Mayor’s Office.
The dog fancy dress contest will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 30 at PetSmart, 203 Main Street in Oak Ridge. Registration for the contest will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the tent in the parking lot, according to a statement
The categories for the costume competition are: Most Creative Costume; Most hilarious costume; Best Owner / Manager Liked; Best child and pet. The winners of each category will compete in the Best of Show. The awards are sponsored by Madison Insurance Group (MIG), JD’s Realty & Auction, Anderson County Administrator Regina Copeland and Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank.
In addition to the dog costume contest, volunteers from Slumdog Rescue Crew and BARK (Bettering Animal Rescue in the Knoxville area) will be on hand to dress up the adoptable dogs at Anderson County Animal Shelter.
There is no entry fee for the competition. Citizens are welcome to participate, watch the fun, or meet adoptable dogs from the shelter.
