The Sanitary Affairs Directorate of Bağcılar Municipality has warned residents of the district that endangered dog breeds must be neutered until January 14, 2022. It has been stated that dog owners who do not perform this action will be penalized with a fine of 14,000,982 TL according to the law. law.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced that American Pitbull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasilerio, Japanese Tosa, American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bully breed dogs are included in the list of dangerous animals. Once the procedures for sterilization, vaccination, microchipping and control of these dangerous dog breeds are completed, they will be registered by the provincial or district directorates of agriculture and forestry.
Fines for violating the rules
The Directorate of Sanitary Affairs of the Municipality of Bagcilar recalled that the last day for the sterilization and application of microchips to dogs, qualified as “dangerous breeds”, is January 14, 2022 and warned pet owners. Owners of these dog breeds who do not complete the sterilization and registration process by January 14, 2022 will be subject to an administrative fine of TL 14,000,982 per animal and animals of the prohibited breed will be confiscated.
