Car impounded for 109 traffic violations

LAHORE: City traffic police impounded a car for breaking traffic laws 109 times. Police said the driver of the car violated the traffic lights 106 times and the lane line three times. The driver was fined 79,500 rupees and the vehicle was impounded at the Iqbal Town Police Station. The vehicle will be returned to the owner upon presentation of contributions, police said.
Arrested: Manawan police arrested four out of six cops on Friday for hanging out with drug dealers on the indication of an arrested drug dealer.
The cops have been identified as Abdul Jabbar, Azhar, Majid Aslam and Mazhar Din while the other two cops Ahmed Sana and Akbar Ali are stationed at Ghaziabad police station and civilian organized crime lines, respectively. Arrested drug dealer Salar Ali told police said officers arrested him and recovered more than three kg of hashish from his possession. They later took him to a dera, detained him for a day, and sold the drugs to another dealer, Zahid.
thieves: Police in Shafiqabad arrested two thieves and recovered valuables from them. The accused have been identified as Yousaf and Sajid. The police recovered 50,000 rupees in cash and illegal weapons in their possession. Meanwhile, Garhi Shahu police arrested three drug dealers, identified as Jehangir Khan, Rafique and Yeshu Masih, and seized 2 kg of charas and 10 bottles of alcohol in their possession. Mustafabad police arrested a Zulfiqar for posting his video of the shootings in the air on social media.
Girl Attacks Dog: Police in Iqbal Town arrested a man after his dog attacked an eight-year-old girl in Jehanzeb Block, Iqbal town. Girl Misbah was injured after the dog bit her two days ago. She was taken to hospital for treatment. Police in Iqbal City arrested dog owner Rashid and filed a complaint against him for letting the dog loose.
Found Dead: A 55-year-old man was found dead Friday near Chauburji Chowk in the Sham Nagar region. Edhi’s volunteers transferred the body to the morgue.
