If you’ve ever wondered which dog breeds are better than the rest when it comes to behavior, look no further than social media.

A study by ProtectMyPaws.com made some observations on Instagram and added posts that mentioned dog breeds with the hashtags #gooddog, #cleverdog #cleverpuppy #naughtypuppy #cheekydog and #muddydog. These positive hashtags were then compared to the villains and the location the posts were tagged with.

The study also shows the states with a percentage of naughty dogs. Illinois dogs are 32.96% mean while Missouri dogs are 39.39% mean. In Michigan, dogs are 36.04% mean and 35.68% mean in Texas. The state with the highest percentage of mean dogs is Kansas with 56.52%, and the District of Columbia has the lowest percentage of mean dogs at 7.58%.
